Urban Bike Tours

To assist in a healthy life style we are offering a new product which is ideal for those who want a relatively flat easy urban cycle experience.  Tauranga has some beautiful scenic cycle ways that take you along inner harbour beaches, through native bush, salt marshes, and small man made lakes offering sanctuary for local bird life.

With two option to choose from, but each offering plenty of flexibility to customise to your fitness level or time schedule.

Option 1: Tauranga Urban Ride

Take an easy ride along the scenic harbour beaches before heading inland to cycle along very popular trails and boardwalks taking you through native bush with inner harbour views. Continue to the suburb of Bethlehem where you we will ride along wide trails.  Enjoy the picturesque lakes, rich in bird life including our native Pukeko.   

Drinks and meals will be supplied by Alimentos on 1st Ave, Tauragna.

Option 2: Tauranga to Mt Mauganui Ride

Similar to the Tauranga Urban ride we will start by riding along scenic harbour beaches before heading over the harbour bridge.  This ride is well marked with cycle ways and most of the ride can be completed without having to ride on the road.  Take in the views as you ride over the bridge and past Tauranga Marina before arriving at Mount Maunganui.   You will ride along Pilot Bay soaking up the amazing views before heading around to one of the most popular beaches in New Zealand where you will  get to have a rest at one of the local cafes.
 
These tours will depend on minimum numbers and depending on the start time will include:

• morning tea
• lunch
• afternoon tea

We have 10 bikes including helmets and gloves or you can bring your own bike.
We will provide correct bike set up, lessons on technique and repair any unfortunate mechanical problems including flat tyres.
