Option One:

Spend a day on the water trying your luck  fishing.  Boasting some of the best fishing spots in the country and with our knowledgeable skipper your chances of catching the big one are good. (But hey it's fishing)  Enjoy a BBQ dinner on the boat as we watch the sunset and take a well earned rest before we head of into the bush and  catch ourselves some possums.



You will be overwhelmed by your hosts hospitality. They also have a little surprise for you when you arrive. Soak up the amazing panoramic views of Tauranga at night as we head into the dark wilderness stalking our elusive prey looking closely for those two shining dots in the tree tops.

Option Two:

Enjoy the Matakana Island hospitality. Participate in an experience few will ever get the chance to. You will be taken to the best fishing spots that are jealously kept secret by the local community. Sit back on the deserted golden sand beaches as you sit patiently waiting for the rods to bend. 

Before it gets dark you can hone your shooting skills on the clay bird range.  Gather some energy with your choice of a bbq or hangi meal before we head of into the dark wilderness to track the elusive possum.  With the fastest growing pine trees in the world you will have to have a good eye to spot you target hiding in the upper canopy.

Matakana Isalnd is only a short distance from Tauranga. Access is either by:

•  boat
•  barge
•  kayak 

Overnight accommodation on the island can be arranged.  The barge operates between 8am-5pm.  Kayaking and boating gives the opportunity of an evening harbour cruise. Contact us today to discuss the options further.
